Assam Mangalam 2nd Flush FTGFOP1 Black Tea
The Mangalam Tea Estate was established in 1973, encouraged by the outstanding production results achieved at the Manjushree plantation. Selected Assamica cultivars are grown in close proximity to one another, promoting vigorous growth and a high concentration of aromatic compounds in the leaves.
This Assam tea is processed according to the traditional orthodox method, preserving large, well-structured leaves rich in golden tips. The Second Flush harvest, carried out during the hottest and most humid season of the year, develops a fuller and more mature aromatic profile than spring harvests, expressing the characteristic intensity for which Assam teas are renowned.
The infusion displays a bright, dark amber colour with a round and velvety body. On the nose, notes of plum, dried apricot, dark honey, and malt emerge, while the palate reveals a refined balance of sweetness, delicate spices, and a long, enveloping finish.
