White Tea

White tea is a very unique and sought-after variety of Chinese tea. Produced in the Chinese provinces of Fujian , Zhenghe , Sonxi , and Jianyang , it is known by names such as "Beauty," "King of Teas," and "Emperor's Tea."

Also harvested from the Camellia sinensis plant, like black tea , green tea , and yellow tea, white tea is made from the buds or leaves before they fully open. The buds are sturdy and strong, covered in a fine down, and shine like silver .

Properties of White Tea

The variety we sell in our shop is called "Silver Needle" white tea , a light yellow tea with a fresh, sweet aroma and flavor. It's a highly prized variety because harvesting only takes place during a short period of the year and involves only the first shoots of the tea plant.

Compared to other Chinese teas, this one is very delicate and minimal. The buds are briefly steamed, followed by slow and gentle drying, usually in the open air, thanks to the action of the sun's rays. Roasting is not necessary, making white tea a delicate and prized tea .

Benefits of White Tea

This tea is a true panacea for the body. Like the other Chinese teas we sell online, it is rich in antioxidant properties and substances that counteract the proliferation of free radicals, the main cause of the body's aging process. Among the main benefits of tea, in addition to its antioxidant and therefore anti-cancer properties, is its significant support for the cardiovascular system.

It limits bad cholesterol and triglycerides, promoting proper heart function and reducing the risk of problems such as heart attacks or strokes.

Combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle, white tea aids weight loss by speeding up the metabolism and allowing for the efficient disposal of excess fat, as well as helping to properly assimilate the sugars contained in carbohydrates.

The benefits of white tea are very similar to the benefits of green tea .
