The Bourbon variety originated in Yemen and was introduced by the French to the island of Bourbon, now Réunion, from which it took its name. From there, it spread to Africa and South America, becoming one of the most highly regarded Arabica varieties.
Bourbon Coffee Leaves are exclusively selected from young leaves, recognizable by their initial reddish-brown hue, which evolves to green as they mature. The leaves are not rolled, maintaining a broad and voluminous structure that promotes a sweet and clean extraction.
